The 12- day course “Sustainable Technologies in Action” challenges participants to create their own solutions for more sustainable communities in rural, peri-urban and urban contexts using a unique pedagogy mix of theoretical and practical components.
The course cost includes lodging, most meals, workshops, and transportation in Mexico (flights to and from Mexico are not included). Some cultural visits such as the Teotihuacan pyramids and the famous Xochimilco canals in Mexico City are also included.
In this 3-day intensive course, participants will explore the theory and practical components of biochar for potable water.
The course takes place in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. Course, materials, meals and lodging are included.
In this 5-day course, participants delve further into biodigester technologies in an indigenous community in the Yucatan.
The course takes place in and around Merida. Course, materials, meals, lodging and transportation during the course are included. Participants are responsible for their arrivals and departures. Logistic support will supplied for those continuing from the Sustainable Technologies in Action course.

- Complete the application form. Have on hand two professional or academic references.
- If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please complete the scholarship section on the application form. In general, we offer partial scholarships and/or work/study opportunities (For example, much of the course documentation in video and photography in 2016 was done by a participant on a scholarship.)
- Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. After reviewing references and application, we will send a letter confirming acceptance to the course.
- Accepted applicants then make the course payment with Paypal.
